Hakka has it’s very own clothing, language and festivals - all special and unique. Even their houses are quite different compared to what we see everyday. There are around 80 million people who claim that they have Hakka roots and heritage, however those who can fluently speak the Hakka language is much lower.

Hakka people are warm settlers and they cook their signature dishes whenever they are important guests. Hakka cuisine are often salty. Some famous Hakka dishes include; baked chicken with salt and pork belly with vegetables seasoned with mustard. Along with their special dishes, they also have distinct architecture and clothing. Each Hakka village is wrapped in thick walls to stop attacks from other locals and groups. In each village, there is often an ancestral hall and guard houses for worship and protection purposes. In terms of clothing, Hakka people dress with modesty and their clothing are usually black.
